Our City on a Hill print draws its inspiration from Christ’s words in Matthew 5:14:
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
In this luminous artwork, the illuminated city rises against the landscape, symbolizing the visible witness of a life lived in accordance with Jesus’ teachings. Just as a city on a hill shines unmistakably in the darkness, believers are called to reflect God’s love, truth, and mercy in the world around them.
The elevated position of the city speaks to the elevated calling placed upon every Christian, to stand firm, to shine brightly, and to offer guidance and hope in a world longing for light. This piece serves as a gentle but powerful reminder that faith is not meant to be concealed, but courageously lived.
Measuring 8 x 10 inches, this unframed print blends beautifully into both modern and traditional spaces. Display it in a prayer corner, office, classroom, or family living area as a daily encouragement to live boldly and faithfully.
Printed in the USA, this artwork, created by Meg Souder, makes a meaningful gift for Confirmations, graduations, housewarmings, or anyone seeking to live their faith with conviction and clarity.
A reminder that your life, rooted in Christ, is meant to shine.
