Madonna Table Runner

In Latin, Madonna means Our Lady. But this title has many other connotations beyond its strict translation. As Catholics, we think of Mary primarily as mother - a mother oftentimes depicted tenderly cradling her infant son shrouded by a blue mantle. Deeply rooted in Catholic symbolism, the blue of Mary's cloak has been interpreted to represent her purity, her virginity, and her royalty. 

This Madonna Table Runner pays tribute to that paradigmatic depiction of Madonna and child. It is timeless just as Mary transcends the ages, and the deep blue is emblematic of the riches that abound under the protection of our Mother's mantle.

This table runner is hand-block printed on 100% cotton canvas, which is a heavier stain-resistant fabric. Given the nature of the hand block print process, expect color variations throughout. We believe this adds to the charm of the pattern.

Care: All linens are machine washable. Please note that with continued wash, the fibers will soften but colors should not fade. Wash with like colors on cold gentle. Recommended to hang dry and tumble dry on low. May iron on cotton settings using steam or starch.
